A small antenna with an attached radio receiver is installed on the dwelling or another location near the dwelling. This antenna is pointed at one of our access points that is located nearby. When you send and receive information over the internet, it goes over the wireless link from the antenna to our access point. That access point is connected to the internet over either a “Back Haul” circuit which is a point to point wireless link or it is connected directly to a fiber optic internet feed.

A site survey helps NLBC determine if the signal distributed from our towers can be received at your home or business and if the signal is strong enough to provide you with a good experience. This does not obligate you to purchase our service and is done at no cost to you.

Once it has been determined that you can receive NLBC’s wireless service and we have a signed agreement, we can normally have service installed within a few days of the order being placed.

NLBC’s wireless network has been engineered to allow for flexibility with various speed packages. Bandwidth can be changed depending on the type of circuit and if the circuit allows for an increase in speed. Once that determined. Your speed can be increased usually the same day in most cases.

Unlike many other wireless competitors and satellite internet providers, NLBC does not use data caps. NLBC gives you unlimited data and we will not charge you more based on your usage.
